Job Readiness

In today’s economic climate, it is very difficult to find a job. It can be even more difficult not knowing how to find a job.  There are many things to consider when you think you may be ready to go out and look for work and these things can put you off entirely or make you think you’re not ready yet so you’ll end up missing the opportunity to get the job you want to apply for. At Swansea Bay REC we have a new project which tackles those barriers that have prevented many people from joining the jobs market. This project is active in Swansea and Neath Port Talbot areas. By joining the project will learn skills which will put you on course to the next stage of job readiness. In trying to offer the service we will introduce you to:

  • Finding out how to improve your skills
  • Work tasters
  • Volunteer programmes
  • Meeting new people
  • Learning/developing  new skills
  • Improving your confidence
  • Developing your soft skills e.g. problem solving
  • Helping you move towards the right job

So long as you are aged between 16 and 65 you can be certain of receiving all the help and support in getting you on track to job readiness. Please contact Sahira at SBREC Tel: 01792 457035 or email her: sahira.begum(at)sbrec.org.uk. (Please replace the (at) with @ in the email address before sending it).
