New Legal Advice Provision at SBREC

Swansea Bay REC is pleased to announce a new legal advice surgery at its premises in 101 Mansel Street, Swansea SA1 5UE on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons.

One of the Partners of Cambridge Solicitors LLP, Mrs Famida Ahmed, after a meeting with Mr Taha Idris, OBE, Chief Executive of Swansea Bay REC, announced the initiative which will see half an hour’s legal advice being offered free of charge to those wishing to avail of this. Mr Idris went to say, “this has been made possible by our partnership with Cambridge Solicitors LLP of Birmingham who have recently opened up their own offices in Dillwyn Street, Swansea.”

Voices Have Spoken – Advice Cafe/Reporting Centres

Do you find it difficult to access services you need or feel you have been treated unfairly?  Have you or someone you know suffered a hate crime and don’t know what to do about it?  ‘Voices Have Spoken’ officers can provide advice, guidance and support.

Come and join us at one of our drop-in-sessions for a cuppa and a chat.

Venue: Dyfatty Community Centre, Greenhill Road, Swansea, SA1 1QW.

Dates: Tuesdays 4th & 18th Nov, 2nd & 16th Dec.

Delivered by a team of officers from Swansea Bay Regional Equality Council, Voices Have Spoken’ aims to achieve improved community cohesion by providing access to advocacy, advice and guidance service to people experiencing hate crime and discrimination on the basis of their disability, race and religion.
