Councillor Nick Tregoning
Councillor Nick Tregoning was elected as the Vice Chair of Swansea Bay REC in July 2010, having represented the City and County of Swansea on the Executive Committee of the organisation for a number of years.
Nick has lived in Swansea since 1986, and has been a Swansea City Councillor since 1999. He is presently the Swansea Cabinet Member for Social Services, having previously been the Council’s Presiding Officer.
Nick went to Manchester University, where he got a degree in Psychology and English. After that, he worked in Bradford University, and then came to Swansea where he was the Union Manager of the University Students’ Union. He is now the Regional Manager for a member of the Welsh Government.
Nick is determined to be an advocate for local people. His Social Services experience makes him passionate about giving every child a fair start in life
